Fr Micheál Galvin RIP
Friday, 03 September 2010

FR. MICHEÁL Galvin:
Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh ag an Athair Micheál Ó Gealbháin. The Officers of Coiste Trali extend their sincere sympathy to his family on the death of Fr Micheál. Fr Micheál was born in Rock Street on 13th April 1919, just two years after the foundation of the Austin Stacks Club. He played with the Club in his young days and he was ordained in June 1944. Later that year the Club appointed him President, a position he held for 66 consecutive seasons and even though his priestly ministry took him, to many different parishes throughout the Kerry Diocese, he never really left the Rock. He will be greatly missed by his family and by his many friends in the Rock and elsewhere.
Go méadaí Dia a stór.
