Community Garda U14 league. In division1, both of the semi finals went ahead
last Monday evening, where Austin Stacks and Kerins O’Rahillys booked their
place in the final with wins against John Mitchels and Churchill. The
division 1 final will throw in on Thursday evening at 6.45pm and the venue is
yet to be determined.
In division 2, both of the finalists are known as Na Gaeil overcame Ardfert in
that semi final on a scoreline of 3-14 Ardfert 2-10.
In the playoff game Ballymac had one to spare in a very tight game with
Milltown Castlemaine 1-8 to 1-7.
Ballymac and Listowel Emmetts then went head to head in their s/f on Friday
evening and Ballymac came through after extra time on a score line of 2-16 to
4-8 and will now the division 2 Final against Na Gaeil went ahead on Tuesday
evening last in Strand Road. In a very close encounter Ballymac emerged victorious
against a determined Na Gaeil with 4 points to spare 1-09 to 0-08 and now hold
the division 2 for 2010.
U16 District County Championship,
Our U16 district team kindly sponsored by John Purcell of Kerry Gas Supplies
played West Kerry in Strand Road earlier today in the Coiste Na nOg U16 district
c/ship. After extra time Tralee now go forward to next weekend’s qtr final on a
scoreline Tralee 3-17 West Kerry 1-14 and go forward to meet Feale Rangers on
Sunday next at 12 noon in Mountcoal.
Coiste Trali Waddings Family Butchers U12 leagues,
The second round of the league went ahead on Sunday last and in division 1, the
Ardfert win puts them in 1st place and Kerins O’Rahillys had 8 to
spare over Listowel Emmetts, 5-06 to 3-04. Ardfert play Listowel on Sunday next
and Na Gaeil are home to KOR. A win for Ardfert will see them through to the
final leaving Kerins O’Rahillys and Listowel Emmetts pushing for the semi final
spot.
In division 2 Milltown Castlemaine holds the top spot in the table with a win
over Stacks. C/island along with Stacks are in joint second place. A win or a
draw for Milltown Castlemaine against Castleisland will secure them a bye to
the final and Stacks are at home to Laune Rangers, with the home team favourites
to claim the points. Division 3, Ballymac are on 4 points with St Pats and John
Mitchels in joint second. Ballymac are home to St Pats and looking like a win
for the home side with Mitchels and Churchill looking the obvious to finish in
second and third in division 3.
In Div 4 Stacks have a bye and the Listowel B v KOR b game saw Listowel take
the honours on a score line of 2-10 to 1-11. With Listowel B & KOR B tied
in the top spot on 2 points each with one game remaining. Stacks play Listowel
next Sunday and Listowel beat KOR who beat the Stacks, if Listowel win, then
KOR B qualify for the win having beaten Stacks.

FR. MICHEÁL Galvin:
Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh ag an Athair Micheál Ó Gealbháin. The Officers
of Coiste Trali extend their sincere sympathy to his family on the death of Fr
Micheál. Fr Micheál was born in Rock Street on 13th April 1919, just two years
after the foundation of the Austin Stacks Club. He played with the Club in his
young days and he was ordained in June 1944. Later that year the Club appointed
him President, a position he held for 66 consecutive seasons and even though
his priestly ministry took him, to many different parishes throughout the Kerry
Diocese, he never really left the Rock. He will be greatly missed by his family
and by his many friends in the Rock and elsewhere.

2-06 to 1-04, but Na Gaeil upped their game and made vital switches to limit
Ardfert to 4 points in the second half.

1-13, Ballymac got a w/o from Churchill and St Pats conceded to Na Gaeil. The
div2 table has Castleisland, Laune Rangers and Na Gaeil are tied on top with 6
points and Ballymac in 4th with 2 points leaving Churchill and St Pats yet to
put points on the table.

Our U16 district team kindly sponsored by John Purcell of Kerry Gas Supplies
commenced their District c/ship campaign on Wednesday evening last against East
Kerry going down by 6 points, 1-12 to 3-12. Their next game will take place this
weekend on Sunday as they take on the might of West Kerry in Strand Road @

We give a warm welcome to Eddie Waddings of the Waddings Family Butchers who
are kindly sponsoring the U12 Coiste Trali league for 2010. The Coiste Trali Waddings
Family Butchers U12 league got underway last Sunday morning.
Division 1 saw wins for Ardfert and Listowel Emmetts.
In division 2 Milltown Castlemaine had 3 to spare over Laune Rangers and Stacks
overcame Desmonds by 2. In division 3, a goal & a
point in the last minute secured the points for Churchill over St Pats
and Ballymac had eight to spare over John Mitchels and in division 4 Kerins
O’Rahillys B’s came from behind with 2 late goals to take the points against
their town rivals Austin Stacks 4-11 (23 points) to 5-5 (20 points).
